River Crossing: I Want to Communicate with You

In partnership with London-based artist Joshua Sofaer, we provided project management and community engagement leadership for River Crossing: I Want to Communicate with You, a public art initiative commissioned by the Cities of Sacramento and West Sacramento and funded by the National Endowment for the Arts. The project culminated in a permanent lightbox installation honoring two cherished community members. Through writing workshops, public meetings, and partnerships with local organizations, we engaged over 650 residents, gathering personal stories and nominations. River Crossing exemplifies socially engaged public art, transforming civic spaces into platforms for connection, remembrance, and cultural storytelling.

Del Rio Trail Art Project

We provided comprehensive project management for the Del Rio Trail Art Project, which was led by the City of Sacramento’s Office of Arts and Culture. Our team supported twenty local artists in developing and delivering community workshops in printmaking, cyanotype, art activism, and music, engaging hundreds of residents and fostering community connection around the new trail. We also managed the creation and installation of interpretive signage for Phase 2 artists, whose public sculptures transformed the trail into an open-air museum. The project exemplifies how public art, storytelling, and community engagement can enrich civic infrastructure and create lasting cultural assets.
